Tinubu Chooses Low-Key 72nd Birthday Amid Hardships

President Bola Tinubu has decided not to have a big celebration for his 72nd birthday because of the tough times many Nigerians are facing due to government policies. Instead of having parties or messages in newspapers and on TV, he asked his friends and supporters to donate to charity.

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu mentioned that he will turn 72 on March 29. Rather than celebrating with events, he wants people to use the day to think about how to make Nigeria better for everyone.

Tinubu said, “I don’t want any big celebrations because of the challenges our country is going through right now. Let’s use this day to help those in need.” He also mentioned the recent attacks on soldiers and police in Delta State and other security problems in Nigeria as reasons for the low-key celebration.

Instead of spending money on birthday adverts, Tinubu suggested that people give to charity organizations. He believes that by doing this, they can contribute to building a more stable, secure, and united Nigeria.

So, on his 72nd birthday, Tinubu wants his friends and supporters to show their love by helping those who are struggling, rather than having big parties or celebrations.
