Special Day at Dundee FC: Levi’s Unforgettable Experience with His Favorite Club

Levi had an amazing day at the training ground with his favorite club. His mom, Sheree, shared that Levi, who had been struggling with anxiety since his injury, was thrilled to meet the players and coaches.

She said, “The Dundee FC players, the whole team, the manager – they have been absolutely incredible since Levi’s injury. He received so many gifts and then had the opportunity to watch the players train and even have lunch with them. They really went above and beyond for him.”

“His favorite player is Luke McGowan, and they had a great chat. Luke even showed Levi how to take penalty kicks against one of the goalkeepers, Adam Weston.”

Sheree continued, “Captain Joe Shaughnessy gave him a tour of the changing rooms, and Levi even played darts with Josh Mulligan and won! He was so happy.”

“We spent a full four hours there, which was beyond our expectations. Levi kept telling me, ‘Mom, this is the best day ever.’ The club has also invited Levi to their upcoming match against Motherwell as a VIP guest.”

“They invited him back for his first game since the incident. Levi will get to go into the dressing room before the game, and they’ve offered him the chance to be a mascot for another game. He’s no longer anxious about going back to football.”

Regarding the incident that left Levi injured, Police Scotland confirmed that a 15-year-old boy has been arrested. Sheree mentioned that Dundee FC manager Tony Docherty promised to take action against fans with flares. She’s urging all Scottish clubs to crack down on pyrotechnics in their grounds.

She said, “Dundee FC is taking this seriously, but all clubs need to do the same to prevent this from happening again. Security at all grounds should improve to ensure these items don’t get in, like stricter searches at turnstiles.”

“We need things to improve because this could have been much worse. My son could have lost an eye and has been scarred for life. Something must be done.”A spokesperson for Dundee FC stated, “The club was delighted to have Levi visit. We’re glad he’s recovering after the terrible ordeal. What happened was horrific, and the club reminds all supporters that bringing pyrotechnics to any football match in Scotland is an offense.”

“Action will be taken against those who do not follow this rule. Pyrotechnics have no place in Scottish football.”
