PANDEF Grieves Loss of Deputy National Chairman, Chief TKO Okorotie

The Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) is very sad about the death of its Deputy National Chairman, Chief TKO Okorotie. Chief Okorotie passed away on September 29, 2023, after being sick for a long time. PANDEF remembers him as a peacemaker, a person who kept things steady, and someone who always thought of others.

Chief TKO Okorotie used to be the Chief Whip of the old Rivers State House of Assembly from 1979 to 1983. He was a well-respected leader in Bayelsa State, where he lived.

In a statement released by PANDEF’s National Chairman, Senator Emmanuel Essien, they said, “We are very sad about the passing of Chief TKO Okorotie, who was 78 years old. This is a big loss for his family, the government of Bayelsa State, and for PANDEF. Chief Okorotie was one of the people who helped start PANDEF and was the first leader of the Bayelsa State Chapter before becoming the Deputy National Chairman in 2020.”

Chief TKO Okorotie’s dedication to making life better for the people of the Niger Delta and all of Nigeria will always be remembered.
