Who owns Wigwe University

Wigwe University was founded by Dr. Herbert Wigwe, a visionary leader known for his contributions to education and economic transformation in Nigeria and Africa.

The university is a testament to his commitment to using education as a catalyst for progress and change on the African continent.

Unfortunately, Dr. Wigwe, his wife, and son tragically passed away in a helicopter accident in February 2024. Despite this loss, the university continues to honour his legacy.

On Wigwe university’s accommodation

Meanwhile, Fox Nigeria previously reported that the accommodation plan for students at Wigwe University, Isiokpo, Rivers state, has been made public, Fox Nigeria confirmed.

Fox Nigeria learnt the varsity would officially launch in 130 days and appointed Professor Miles Davis from the United States as its first vice-chancellor.

A breakdown of the accommodation fees and plan of the varsity was published on its official website.

In a recent development, Fox Nigeria also reported that Wigwe University, Isiokpo, Rivers State, rolled out a mascot challenge ahead of its official launch in August 2024.
