Minister Musawa Joins IWD Celebration Honoring Women in the Creative Industry

Minister Hannatu Musawa from the Ministry of Art, Culture, and Creativity is celebrating women in the creative sector as part of International Women’s Day (IWD).

She sends her appreciation to all the remarkable women who have contributed to Nigeria’s arts, culture, and creative economy.

In a statement released by her Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Nkem Anibeze, Musawa highlights the outstanding achievements of women globally and their significant impact on society.

“Today serves as a reminder of the remarkable achievements of women worldwide and the invaluable impact they have made in shaping our society,” she says.

Musawa acknowledges and honors the exceptional talents, creativity, and resilience of women in the arts, culture, and creative sectors.

“Your contributions and innovations have enriched our cultural heritage and have been instrumental in driving progress and positive change in our communities and country as a whole,” she adds.

She assures that under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the federal government will continue to create opportunities for women to thrive in arts, culture, and various fields.

“We must strive to empower women, provide them with platforms to express their creativity, and ensure that their voices are heard and valued,” Musawa emphasizes.

The minister is committed to fostering an inclusive, diverse, and supportive environment for women in these fields.

“Through policies, initiatives, and partnerships, we will work towards creating a more equitable and accessible landscape where women can fully participate and lead,” she explains.

Musawa urges everyone to reaffirm their commitment to gender equality on this International Women’s Day, themed ‘Invest in women: Accelerate progress.’
