Just In: Sanusi, Bayero Suffer Setback as Police Ban Major Sallah Event, Give Reason
The Kano state police command has banned the celebration of Durbar in the metropolitan city, which was earlier planned by the dethroned Emir Aminu Ado Bayero and reinstated Muhammadu SanusiII.
The Durbar is a traditional event usually held on the second day of Sallah. It involves the emir riding a horse through major areas of the ancient city.

It was learnt that both the reinstated and dethroned Emirs have made preparations for the event and have requested permission from the police in the state. However, the police have denied their requests, citing potential security concerns.
