Federal Government Condemns Abductions in Kaduna, Vows to Rescue Women and School Children
The Federal Government strongly condemns the recent abductions of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) at Wurge Community in Ngala LGA, Borno State, by armed ISWAP terrorists, and the abduction of school-age children at Government Secondary School (GSS) Kuriga in Gwagwada District, Chikun LGA, Kaduna State, by a group of bandits.
These abductions are deplorable and completely against the core values of humanity. The government firmly stands against any form of violence or coercion aimed at innocent civilians, especially the most vulnerable in our society. Our children have the right to pursue education in safe environments, free from harm or the fear of harm. Any threat to their safety is a direct assault on the future of our nation.
In light of these distressing events, the President has instructed security agencies to act swiftly to ensure the safe return of all those abducted, and to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for these acts.
