Court Orders Removal of Emir Bayero and Associates from Palace
In a recent ruling, the Kano State High Court has instructed the Commissioner of Police to promptly remove Aminu Ado Bayero, the 15th Emir of Kano, from his palace. Additionally, the court has prohibited Bayero and four others from presenting themselves as Emirs.
The individuals affected by this ruling alongside Bayero are Nasiru Ado Bayero (Bichi), Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar II (Karaye), Kabiru Muhammad Inuwa (Rano), and Aliyu Ibrahim Gaya (Gaya).
This legal action stemmed from an ex parte motion presented by Ibrahim Isa Wangida Esq, the applicant’s legal representative, before Justice Amina Adamu Aliyu.
The decision marks a significant development in the ongoing dispute surrounding the leadership and recognition of the Emir of Kano and highlights the judiciary’s role in resolving such matters.
