With the Eid-el-Kabir celebration approaching, the Osun State Police Command and the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) are ramping up security measures to ensure a peaceful festival throughout the state.

Led by State Police Commissioner Muhammed Umar, the police force is implementing stringent security protocols. This includes deploying officers to key locations such as highways, places of worship, and other critical areas. Commissioner Umar emphasized the importance of respecting citizens’ rights while maintaining vigilant surveillance round the clock. He urged the public to report any suspicious activities promptly to designated hotlines.

Similarly, the Osun Command of the NSCDC has mobilized 2,350 personnel for the occasion. Their mission spans public spaces like markets, prayer grounds, and recreational centers, ensuring comprehensive security coverage.

Residents have been assured of protection before, during, and after the festivities, with a focus on safeguarding critical national assets and infrastructure. Both security agencies are working in tandem to preempt any potential threats and uphold safety across the state.

As Osun State prepares to welcome an influx of visitors for Eid-el-Kabir, these proactive security measures underscore a commitment to ensuring a secure and serene environment for all residents and visitors alike.
