Man, 50, Passes Away Watching Football in Lagos Bar
A man, whose identity remains unknown, passed away while watching a football match at an open bar along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway. The man, believed to be around fifty years old, was a regular at the bar and had come on May 15, 2024, to enjoy the game.
However, tragedy struck when it was noticed that he was asleep and couldn’t be roused. The owner of the bar reported the incident to the Elere Division of the Lagos State Police, stating that the man had passed away while watching the match.
Police spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that upon investigation, they found the man deceased in his chair, without any signs of violence. The body has been taken to the Mainland General Hospital in Rusty Yaa for an autopsy, and efforts are underway to locate his family.
