EFCC Re-arraigns Former NSA Dasuki, Others Over Alleged N33.2bn Fraud

FCT, Abuja – A former National Security Adviser, Col. Sambo Dasuki (retd.), and three others were re-arraigned over alleged N33.2 billion frauds.

Dasuki and the others were re-arraigned before Justice Charles Agbaza of the Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.

As reported by The Punch, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) brought the charges against Dasuki alongside a former General Manager of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Aminu Baba-Kusa, as well as two companies—Acacia Holdings Limited and Reliance Referral Hospital Limited.

Dasuki and the other defendants are facing a 32-count charge bordering on alleged criminal breach of trust and dishonest release of public funds.

The FCT Chief Judge, Justice Hussein Baba-Yusuf, was previously handling the matter before it was reassigned to Justice Agbaza.

Dasuki was first arraigned on December 14, 2015, alongside a former Director of Finance and Administration in the NSA Office, Shuaibu Salisu, on a 19-count charge linked to an alleged N15.5 billion fraud.

TheTalk.NG earlier reported that EFCC operatives arrested 133 suspects in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja.

The suspects were arrested in connection to a Ponzi Scheme Academy where gullible young Nigerians were trained in the scheme.

The anti-graft agency said the Ponzi Scheme Academy is named Q University (a.k.a Q-Net) for brainwashing young Nigerians that they would graduate into the league of billionaires.

TheTalk.NG also reported that the suspended coordinator of the Edo State Public Safety Response Team (PSRT) Kelly Okungbowa (a.k.a. Ebo Stone) was arrested in Benin City.

Okungbowa was arrested by EFCC operatives on Monday, March 17, 2025, for alleged naira abuse.

The EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, said Okungbowa will be charged to court as soon as investigations are completed.

EFCC arrests accountant-general over alleged N70 billion fraud

Meanwhile, TheTalk.NG reported that EFCC operatives arrested Sirajo Jaja, the accountant-general of Bauchi state, over an alleged N70 billion fraud.

Jaja was arrested in Abuja on Wednesday, March 19, alongside Aliyu Abubakar of Jasfad Resources Enterprise, a Bureau de Change (BDC) operator, and another individual.

TheTalk.NG gathered that the EFCC is reportedly investigating the Governor of Bauchi state, Bala Mohammed, regarding the financial matter.
