Chinedu ‘Aki’ Ikedieze Shares How He Got 1st Movie Role, Decision to Be Lawyer: “Acting Changed Me”

Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, better known as Aki, has shared how he joined the Nigerian movie industry in 1998.

He revealed that when he was at the Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), Enugu, he saw actors, and during that period, the movie Ikuku was produced. It inspired him to become an actor.
A filmmaker Afam Okereke introduced him to Nollywood and advised him to attend auditions. He did and bagged a role in the blockbuster movie Evil Men. This changed his perception of life.
Other actors in the film were Pete Edochie, Liz Benson, and Zack Orji, among others.
In a podcast with media personality, Chude Jideonwo, Aki said he believes being brilliant enhances the dream of everyone to be who they desire. At this point, he wanted to be a lawyer, doctor, or engineer.
However, with the happenings around him and his interactions with people, the father of two decided he to be a lawyer.

Aki pens emotional message to his wife

On July 16, 2024, Stephanie turned a new age, and the movie star penned down an emotional message to her.
In the lengthy note, Aki poured out his heart to his wife, and netizens gushed over the heartwarming message.

Earlier, TheTalk.NG reported that Aki confessed that he keeps his wife and children out of the public eye because of his celebrity life.
The Nollywood veteran stated reasons he doesn’t post photographs of his wife and children on social media.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Ikedieze said that knowing they are connected to him will influence them in some way.
