A tragic road accident on Saturday along the Funtua-Sokoto route in Katsina State has left 15 people dead and 13 others injured.
The accident, which took place in Mairuwa village, involved a passenger-loaded Toyota Hiace bus traveling from Zamfara to southern Nigeria.

According to NTA, the bus experienced a tire burst, causing the driver to lose control and collide head-on with a Sino truck.

8 people dead as container falls on commercial bus
Meanwhile, TheTalk.NG earlier reported that a report by Daily Trust indicates that no fewer than eight people have been confirmed dead when a truck conveying a 20ft container landed on a commercial bus in Lagos.
TheTalk.NG gathers that the accident occurred at Ojuelegba Bridge opposite the Federal Fire Station. Investigations revealed that the bus was picking up passengers when the truck lost control and fell over the side of the bridge.
